Glimpse
Tiles flash on the grid. Tap them back from memory.
Glimpse is a visual memory game. A handful of tiles light up on a grid for as long as you choose, from half a minute down to a tenth of a second, and then go dark. Tap where they were, one tap per tile. In Pattern any order will do; in Sequence the tiles carry numbers and you tap them back in order, so you have to remember where each number was.
How to play
- Press Ready under the empty grid. After a short beat the tiles light up for the show time you picked, then the grid goes dark and the clock starts.
- Tap the cells where the tiles were. You get exactly one tap per tile: a hit lights the tile again, a miss marks the cell, and after the last tap every tile you missed is outlined.
- In Sequence the tiles carry numbers. Tap them in order, 1, 2, 3 and so on; a wrong tap shows where the number you needed really was, and you carry on with the next one.
- Choose the tile count (3 to 40) and the show time (0.1 to 30 seconds, in 0.1-second steps). The grid grows with the tiles, from 3 x 3 up to 10 x 10.
- Your score is the board's difficulty times your hits over the tiles, squared, plus up to 15% for a quick recall.
What it trains

Difficulty
Three tiles on a 3 x 3 grid with half a minute to look is a warm-up; forty tiles on a 10 x 10 grid shown for a tenth of a second is beyond almost anyone. Every extra tile and every shorter look raises the difficulty, and Sequence counts one and a half times as much as Pattern.
