An island of rival clans. Change who calls whom an enemy.
Divide and Conquer is a strategy puzzle built around divide et impera. Rival factions occupy an island while your forces wait offshore. Change their alliances to turn the balance against them, until the island is empty and your forces can land. Sometimes making peace is the only way to win.
How to play
- Select two factions, then switch their relationship between peace and war. The change applies everywhere on the island.
- An army with more enemies than friends in neighbouring occupied provinces is defeated. Armies of the same faction are always friends; a tie is safe.
- Defeated armies leave together in waves. Each wave changes the balance for the armies still standing, so one decision can set off a chain reaction.
- Empty the island to win. The eye previews a selected action; the graph and alliances chart offer other views of the same position.
- Base points reflect the minimum moves, faction count and map size. Extra moves reduce them, with up to 15% added for accuracy and 15% for speed. Accuracy counts your final moves, undos and moves discarded by restarts. Hints reduce your score.
What it trains
Planning chains of consequences: which alliances keep an army alive, which neighbours will disappear next, and when making peace opens the way to a later victory. Explore Logic training →
Improvement figures are observed in-app score gains, backed by peer-reviewed cognitive-training research.
Difficulty
Choose three to five factions, the minimum moves needed to solve the board, and an available map size. The number of provinces varies within that size, and every generated board is checked for its shortest solution.
