Gridlock
Slide the blocks. Free the key.
Gridlock is a sliding-block escape puzzle. Move horizontal and vertical blocks along their fixed directions until the key has a clear path through the right-hand exit. Every board comes with its exact par, the fewest moves it can be solved in, shown before you play.
How to play
- Find the key block and the exit on the right side of the board.
- Drag blocks along their length to clear a path; blocks cannot overlap or rotate.
- Slide the key all the way through the exit to finish.
- Each completed slide counts as one move, including the final exit, however far the block travels.
- Undo restores a position without refunding moves. Deeper boards score more, and fewer moves and a quicker solve each add a bonus.
What it trains
Planning moves ahead and tracking how each block changes the available space on the board. Explore Logic training →
Improvement figures are observed in-app score gains, backed by peer-reviewed cognitive-training research.
Difficulty
Set two things: how many coloured cargo blocks, from none to three, must be parked in the bays of their colour before the exit opens, and the exact par, from two-move warm-ups to escapes of 60-plus moves. Every board is generated fresh for you and checked before you play: its par is exact and every bay adds moves.
